In response to exorbitant fees charged by major delivery partners, Ryde is absorbing its delivery costs to support struggling food merchants.
16th April 2020, Singapore – Answering the call for a fairer delivery platform service, Ryde is slashing its delivery fares to provide a more affordable solution for F&B businesses. Ryde has lowered its RydeSEND fares for merchants to *$7 for all deliveries within 2km so that merchants can save on steep commissions of between 20% – 40% charged by traditional food delivery platforms. Ryde will also be reducing commission fees for its driver-partners to 0% from 13th April until 4th May.
Merchant partners can profit from RydeSEND’s economy fares and access Ryde’s large supply of delivery drivers. In comparison to other third-party logistics players, Ryde’s offering is the most competitive rate in the market. Merchants need to complete at least 10 deliveries to enjoy the competitive rates.
Ryde’s driver-partners would benefit from diversification of jobs, leading to better earning opportunities from both ride-hailing and food delivery. By reducing its service fees to 0%, its driver-partners will also receive higher incomes during this period.
In its efforts to digitalise offline F&B businesses, Ryde is also offering to freely advertise F&B operators on their existing online platforms. Any groceries, bottle shops, restaurant and hawker merchants may contact Ryde for more information.
Terence Zou, Founder and CEO of Ryde Technologies, says, “This is a difficult time. We want to help F&B owners save costs and create more delivery jobs for drivers. Let us support fellow Singaporeans and help save jobs. We will pull through this stronger together.”
*$30 cashback offered to users who have completed 10 RydeSEND Trips.
